Ravelry Group: Pink Hair Girl Designs
Whole 30 for anyone interested in the whole 30 diet/ health detox that my sister and I are doing from 9 June.
The yarn for The Geek’s socks I never mentioned last time was Nurturing Fibres Man Sock in the Airforce colourway, the yarn is 40% Mohair 40% Merino 20% Nylon (Polyamide) but it is sadly not available any more. It is such a great strong sock yarn that I am sad Carle can’t get that base any more.
My first ever video podcast. I am going to call it that because the word vlog and vlogging is just a bit weird.
Rachel and I would like to say an enormous Thank you to everyone that supported her when she cut her hair and for the very generous donations to her hair fund.
She raised R4693!!! I am so very proud of her, I think she looks beautiful. The short hair suits her little pixie face. It has made swimming everyday much easier without so much long wet hair to deal with.
An enormous thank to to : Tanya, Andre, Karin, Tamsin(8), Jenni, Aiden(7) & Lauryan, My Mom, My Dad, Gavin, My 2 sisters; Jenni and Sarah, my Granny(94), Carle, Camilla, Amanda, Clare, Helen, Nadia, Lucy, Amanda. I really hope I have not forgotten anyone.
Thank you so much
For those who did not see the pictures on Face Book or Instagram here is the day she had it cut
I love coffee, I was not really something I grew up with, as I was from a tea drinking household, but I have really come to love it over the past few years. Andre reminded me, when I told him I had quit, that apparently I had said ( in jest) you can’t really trust someone who does not like coffee. SO imagine my dismay when as I look for a natural cure for my cripplingly painful and heavy periods that I discover that coffee can throw your hormones out of balance.
I am thinking of growing my pink hair out. This is not the first time I have thought this, but I usually chicken out and just redye it. I love my pink hair. It has become part of my identity, but I do wonder if my strawberry blonde hair is still there.
Rachel has hair like mine used to be. I was convinced mine when more brown as I got old but now looking back at photos I am not sure.
This is me when the kids were small
I have written about my very heavy periods before since then things have gotten worse and I have been diagnosed with something called Adenomyosis. Which is basically the cells from the lining of the uterus getting into the muscle layer and then every month when you have a period you bleed into the muscle which results in tearing and swelling of the uterus.
