Your blog reminded me of an email I once got; it read:

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand…then you realize that your need has been met.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done…but only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.

My thoughts on this are so mixed up, not sure how to express it without contradicting myself totally lol – but yes there is a reason for every crossed path and experience, what we take away from it though is influenced by the choices we take.

I really do not that people do cross your path at a certain time for a reason, what that may be. There was numerous times in my life, if I look back into my past, where people have crossed my path and when looking back, I realize in many scenarios which have happened in my life, that there are indeed a reason why people have crossed my life.

Absolutely. My Dad has always told me about the tides. Sometimes, the tide brings in sea shells etc and deposits it on the shore. Sometimes, they stay there, and sometimes, they wash away. Some stay forever, and others are fleeting. Like friends, and people. Some are there forever, and some, for a short while, either which way, they impact you.
